EVERGREEN COURT TO U.S. 36 (FAP 323): Mill and resurface the existing variable edge- <br /> to-edge pavement width, providing for two 12-foot wide through traffic lanes in each direction, <br /> 14-foot wide and variable left turn lanes and retaining the variable width concrete medians <br /> (where present) and concrete curb and gutter; mill and resurface the existing 12-foot and <br /> variable right turn lanes; improve existing traffic signals and improve curb ramps to comply <br /> with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (where applicable) at the intersections of FAP <br /> 320 (IL 121) with Aldi Drive, Prosperity Drive and Maryland Street. <br /> 4. INTERSECTION OF IL 121 (FAP 320) WITH U.S. 36 (FAP 323) AND AIRPORT ROAD: Mill <br /> and resurface the existing variable width pavement, retaining existing concrete curbs, <br /> concrete islands and variable width grassed medians as well as variable width hot-mix asphalt <br /> and aggregate shoulders; provide two 12-foot wide through traffic lanes in each direction of <br /> U.S. 36; provide a 12-foot wide left turn lane from eastbound U.S. 36 onto Airport Road; <br /> provide two 12-foot wide right turn lanes from eastbound U.S. 36 onto Mount Zion Road (IL <br /> 121); provide a 12-foot wide left turn lane from westbound U.S. 36 onto Mount Zion Road (IL <br /> 121); improve existing traffic signals at the intersections of FAP 320 (IL 121)with U.S. 36 and <br /> Airport Road. <br /> 5. AIRPORT ROAD RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS: In coordination with <br /> the City of Decatur and Decatur and Eastern Illinois Railroad as part of an upcoming Grade <br /> Crossing Protection Fund (GCPF) project immediately north of U.S. 36 (AAR/DOT No. 154 <br /> 635E), widen the existing concrete median and retain the existing at-grade railroad crossing <br /> surface; mill and resurface the existing variable width hot-mix asphalt pavement, retaining two <br /> 11-foot wide southbound traffic lanes, an 11-foot wide and variable left-turn lane and providing <br /> for an 18-foot and variable northbound traffic lane. <br /> and all other work necessary to complete the improvement in accordance with the approved plans <br /> and specifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY is desirous of said improvement in that same will be of immediate benefit <br /> to CITY residents and permanent in nature; <br />
