An Agreement with Architectural Expressions (AEX)to design and perform construction
oversight of an addition to the Municipal Services Center and improvements to the roof, City
Project 2023-07, for a fee not to exceed$100,000.00
2. A facility study was completed by AEX in 2017. Two of the major items addressed in the
study were the condition of the roof and better internal employee circulation. In 2022, staff
analyzed its long-term facility needs and determined that they can use the existing MSC site for
another 36 plus years if comparatively minor upgrades are made. This is also made possible by
some Public Works use of newly required buildings on the transit campus. Accordingly, the City
Council authorized MSC improvements in the 2023 budget.
