Memorandum of Understanding <br /> By and Between <br /> City of Decatur,Illinois, and Decatur PB&PA <br /> Labor Committee <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) is made by and between the City of Decatur, Illinois <br /> ("City") and the Decatur Police Benevolent and Protective Association Labor Committee <br /> ("Union"). <br /> WHEREAS,the City and the Union desire to modify the current collective bargaining agreement <br /> between the parties,to implement certain changes in patrol officers' work schedules, and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City and Union desire to incorporate the agreed patrol schedule changes into the <br /> successor collective bargaining agreement; and, <br /> WHEREAS,except as expressly set forth in this MOU,the changes affecting patrol officers' work <br /> schedules described herein are intended to neither diminish nor enhance any benefit provided in <br /> the current collective bargaining agreement between the parties; and, <br /> WHEREAS, current contract language does not fully facilitate implementation of the agreed <br /> changes in patrol officers' work schedules; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City and the Union have reached agreement on certain modifications to the terms <br /> of the current collective bargaining agreement between the parties, for the limited purpose of <br /> implementing the new work schedule for the Police Patrol Division; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the modifications of the current collective bargaining agreement described in this <br /> MOU are intended to supplant the terms of the current collective bargaining agreement and merge <br /> into the successor agreement; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this MOU represents the final agreement of the parties on the limited issue of the <br /> new work schedule for the Police Patrol Division. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,the City and the Union agree that: <br /> 1. In order to effectuate the intent of this modification in the Patrol Division work schedule, <br /> the City and the Union agree that the following Sections of the following Articles of the <br /> Collective Bargaining Agreement currently in force shall be modified as follows (with the <br /> language to be deleted, underlined language to be added): <br /> 1 <br />
