CITY OF DECATUR <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> FOR <br /> PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE <br /> QUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS: <br /> The City may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability <br /> of the bidder to provide the specified material and the bidder shall furnish to the City all <br /> such information and data for this purpose as the City may request. The City reserves <br /> the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder <br /> fails to satisfy the City that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations <br /> of the contract. Conditional bids will not be accepted. <br /> MATERIALS: <br /> Materials shall meet the following requirements of the "Standard Specifications for Road <br /> and Bridge Construction", current addition by the Illinois Department of Transportation: <br /> (a) Cement Section 1001. <br /> (b) Water Section 1002. <br /> (c) Fine Aggregate Section 1003. <br /> (d) Coarse Aggregate Section 1004. <br /> (e) Chlorides Section 1013. <br /> (f) Portland Cement Concrete Section 1020. <br /> (g) Concrete Admixtures Section 1021. <br /> Class PV Concrete(6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP Concrete (6.5 <br /> Bag), and Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) as specified shall conform to the applicable <br /> articles of Section 1020, "PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE" of the "Standard <br /> Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", current addition by the Illinois <br /> Department of Transportation. <br /> Coarse Aggregate for Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.$ Bag), <br /> Class PP Concrete (6.6 Bag) and Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) shall be Gradation <br /> Number CA 7 and shall conform to the applicable articles of Section 1004, "COARSE <br /> AGGREGATE" of the"Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", <br /> current addition by the Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> Portland Cement for Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class <br /> PP Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) and Controlled Low- Strength <br /> Material (CLSM) shall conform to the applicable articles of Section 1001, "CEMENT'of <br /> the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", Current addition by the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> 1 <br />
