CITY OF DECATUR <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> FOR <br /> PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE <br /> Fine Aggregate for Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class <br /> PP Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) and Controlled Low-Strength <br /> Material (CLSM) shall conform to applicable articles of Section 1003, "FINE <br /> AGGREGATES" of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", <br /> current addition by the Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> Water for Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP <br /> Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) and Controlled Low- Strength <br /> Material (CLSM) shall conform to applicable articles of Section 1002, "WATER" of the <br /> "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", Current addition by the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> Controlled Low -Strength Material (CLSM) shall conform to applicable articles of <br /> Section 1019, "CONTROLLED LOW- STRENGTH MATERIAL" of the "Standard <br /> Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", Current addition by the Illinois <br /> Department of Transportation. <br /> Calcium Chloride shall conform to the applicable articles of Section 1013, <br /> "CHLORIDES" of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", <br /> Current addition by the Illinois Department of Transportation. <br /> Admixtures to Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP <br /> Concrete (6.5 Bag), and Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) shall conform to applicable <br /> articles of Section 1021, "CONCRETE ADMIXTURES" of the "Standard Specifications <br /> for Road and Bridge Construction", Current addition by the Illinois Department of <br /> Transportation. <br /> Dye, when specified, shall meet the specifications for"Dye#SG450 - Maroon" and be <br /> mixed at a ratio of 25 pounds per cubic yard of concrete. <br /> METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: <br /> Class PV Concrete (6 Bag), Class PV Concrete (6.5 Bag), Class PP Concrete (6.5 <br /> Bag), Class PP Concrete (7 Bag) and Controlled Low-Strength Material (CLSM) <br /> will be measured for payment in cubic yards (CY). The concrete volume will be based <br /> on batch weights of the concrete converted to volumes by use of the conversion factor <br /> developed with the specific mix design. For a full load delivery, the vehicle operator <br /> shall provide to the responsible member of the City's MSC work crew a ticket verifying <br /> the amount of concrete delivered. For a partial load delivery, the vehicle operator shall <br /> obtain from the responsible member of the City's work crew a written acknowledgment <br /> of the amount of concrete delivered. <br /> 2 <br />
