DIVISION 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> Section 01210 —Allowances <br /> PART1 GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SUMMARY <br /> ' A. Section Includes: Procedures for cash allowances. <br /> B. Related Requirements: <br /> 1. Bid Form: Value of allowance to be included in Bid. <br /> 2. Document 00700 - General Conditions: Requirements for adjusting <br /> cash allowances. <br /> 3. Section 01250 - Contract Modification Procedures: Procedural <br /> requirements for Change Order. <br /> 1.02 COSTS <br /> A. Cash Allowances shall be used for project Alterations, Cancellations, <br /> Extensions, Deductions and Extra Work at the Owner's discretion. <br /> ' B. All project alternations, cancellations, extensions or extra work using this cash <br /> allowance shall follow the Change Order procedures in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> C. Any amount of the cash allowance remaining at the end of the Contract shall <br /> ' be credited as a deduct to the Contract at the same amount remaining in the <br /> cash allowance. <br /> 1.03 RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> A. Owner/Engineer Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Consult with Contractor for consideration and selection of Products. <br /> 2. Select Products in consultation with Owner and transmit decision to <br /> Contractor. <br /> ' 3. Prepare Change Order. <br /> B. Contractor Responsibilities: <br /> ' 1. Assist Owner/Engineer in selection of Products. <br /> 2. Obtain proposals from suppliers and offer recommendations. <br /> 3. On notification of selection by Owner/Engineer execute purchase <br /> ' agreement with designated supplier. <br /> 4. Arrange for and process shop drawings, product data, and samples. <br /> 5. Arrange for delivery. <br /> ' 6. Promptly inspect Products upon delivery for completeness, damage, <br /> and defects. Submit claims for transportation damage. <br /> 7. Submit information for Change Order as required by Section 01250 - <br /> Contract Modification Procedures. <br />
