Miller Ford for the Purchase of Two(2)Ford F-550 KUV <br /> Service Trucks. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Resolution approving a contract <br /> in the amount of$204,122.00 to Larry H. Miller Ford accepting the contract bid price of Larry H. Miller Ford for two(2)Ford <br /> F-550 KUV Service Trucks. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Water Distribution has requested two(2)new vehicles to replace two(2)existing vehicles. The vehicles being replaced are: <br /> 1.) #148,2011 Ford E-450 with 12,025 miles. <br /> 2.) #120,2013 Ford E-450 with 9,719 miles. <br /> Although they have low miles,both vehicles have severe rusting in the undercarriage and floorboards. The replacement vehicles <br /> are estimated to be delivered within 3 to 4 weeks. <br /> DISPOSAL OF REPLACED UNITS: The vehicles are being replaced due to their age and condition. The old units will be <br /> auctioned or scrapped. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: None <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Fleet Maintenance wrote the bid specifications based on Water Distribution <br /> requirements. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Matt Newell,Public Works Director, Byron Bowman,Municipal Services Manager.
