INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS <br /> For Construction of: LAKE DECATUR STALEY BASIN IMPROVEMENTS <br /> City Project No.: 2023-16 <br /> Owner: City of Decatur, Illinois <br /> The Owner invites bids on the forms included as part of this Document to be submitted at <br /> such time and place as is stated in the Advertisement for Bids. All blanks in the Bid Proposal must <br /> be appropriately filled in with typewriter or ink. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to see <br /> that the bid is received in proper time to be date, time stamped, and initialed by the <br /> Purchasing Agent or designee. <br /> The Owner may consider non-conforming any bid not prepared and submitted in <br /> accordance with the provisions hereof and may waive any informalities or reject any and all bids. <br /> Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized <br /> postponement thereof. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within 45 days after the actual day of the <br /> opening thereof. <br /> Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly bearing, on the outside, the <br /> following information: <br /> 1. The name of the Bidder, <br /> 2. The Bidder's address, <br /> 3. The name of the project along with the project number for which the bid is <br /> submitted, <br /> The bid documents will be submitted to the Purchasing Division, City of Decatur, # 1 <br /> Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois,62523. <br /> The bid process is as follows: <br /> 1. All bids shall be submitted to the Purchasing Division located on the first floor of <br /> the Civic Center, #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois 62523. <br /> 2. The Purchasing Agent, or designee, will date, time stamp, and initial the sealed <br /> envelope containing the bid. All bids must have an official date and time stamp to <br /> be considered as conforming to the bid process and opened. Any bids received <br /> after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the Bidder <br /> unopened. <br /> 3. All bids received after the designated time for receiving bids will not be accepted. <br /> The designated clock located in the Purchasing Division offices will govern the bid <br /> closure time. <br /> 7 <br />
