Ten(10)percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by Minority Business Enterprises if <br /> subcontracting opportunities are available and/or 10%of the total dollar amount of the contract should be for the purchase of <br /> goods,material and equipment to Minority Business Enterprises. <br /> 2. Eighteen(18)percent of the total hours worked should be performed by minority workers. <br /> Subcontracting is not a requirement for City Projects. Eric Vieback& Son Excavating and Trucking,Inc.requested a waiver from <br /> the City's Minority Business Enterprise(MBE)requirements as they are expecting to self-perform 100%of the work. Eric <br /> Vieback&Son Excavating and Trucking,Inc. also requested a waiver from the 18%total hours worked on the project as all work <br /> will be performed by owners of the company and no outside labor will be used. City staff confirmed with the Contractor that if <br /> any outside labor is used,they then must make a good faith effort to meet the 18%minority labor requirement. <br /> SCHEDULE: <br /> Work on this project is expected to start in December 2024 and will be completed by May 31,2025 depending on weather <br /> conditions. <br /> PRIOR COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> 1.
