ORDINANCE NO. 4:) 3S 7-- <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34- <br /> - TRAFFIC AND PARKING— <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Sections 37, 48, 56, 60, 64, 66 and 69 of Chapter 34 of the City Code of <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same are hereby modified and amended thereto, so that <br /> Sections 37, 48, 56, 60, 64, 66 and 69 of Chapter 34 as so modified and amended, shall provide <br /> as follows: <br /> ...37. REMOVAL OF VEHICLES. Police officers are hereby authorized to <br /> remove or cause to be removed a vehicle from a public street or highway to the nearest <br /> garage, impound lot or other place of safety, or to a location designated by the Police <br /> Chief,under the following circumstances:... <br /> ...L. When any vehicle is used in the commission of prostitution as <br /> defined in Section 5/11-14 of the Illinois Criminal Code, 720 ILCS 5/11-14, solicitation <br /> of a sexual act as defined in Section 5/11-14.1 of the Illinois Criminal Code, 720 ILCS <br /> 5/11-14.1,patronizing a prostitute as defined in Section 5/11-18 of the Illinois Criminal <br /> Code, 720 ILCS 5/11-18, patronizing a juvenile prostitute as defined in Section 5/11-18.1 <br /> of the Illinois Criminal Code, 720 ILCS 5/11-18.1, or public indecency as defined in <br /> Sections 5/11-30 of the Criminal Code, 720 ILCS 5/11-30.... When any vehicle is used in the commission of the offense of <br /> street racing and aggravated street racing as defined in Section 5/11-506 of the <br /> Illinois Vehicle Code, 625 ILCS 5/11-506.... (Amended, Ordinance 2012-83, <br /> November 19, 2012) <br /> ...48. TEMPORARY RESERVATION OF PARKING SPACE. The City <br /> Manager or authorized designee may authorize the temporary reservation of parking <br /> spaces by individuals, corporations, or other organizations at the rate established in <br /> Section 73 of this chapter for each space so reserved if such reservation is necessary or <br /> desirable in order to allow said individual, corporation or other organization to perform a <br /> service or accomplish a job or project of short duration. Said fee shall be paid prior to <br /> receiving temporary"No Parking" signs or meter hood. This section shall apply to all <br /> events, except those that are City-sponsored.... <br />
