RESOLUTION NO. R233'Lip <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER WITH <br /> E.L. PRUITT COMPANY FOR CHILLER REPLACEMENT AT THE <br /> DECATUR PUBLIC LIBRARY <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved a contract with E. L. Pruitt <br /> Company for the Decatur Public Library Chiller Replacement Project; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed change order is in the best interest of the City to ensure <br /> improved system performance, long-term operational efficiency, and compatibility with <br /> the facility's needs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the attached Change Order No. 005 to the mechanical construction <br /> contract with E.L. Pruitt Company, in the amount of$63,700.00 is hereby approved. <br /> Section 2. That the contract sum is increased from$1,485,881.95 to <br /> $1,549,581.95, with no change to the contract time or the date of substantial completion. <br /> Section 3. That the circumstances necessitating the change in this contract were <br /> not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was signed and the change is germane <br /> to the original contract as signed. <br /> Section 4. That the City Manager,or their designee, be, and they are hereby, <br /> authorized and directed to execute said Change Order, on behalf of the City of Decatur. <br /> Section 5.
