5. Sustainability and Long-Term Benefit <br /> • Proposal demonstrates how outcomes will continue beyond the City's initial funding. <br /> • Includes a plan for future funding or self-sufficiency. <br /> • Provides lasting improvements to infrastructure, capacity, or community wellbeing. <br /> 6. Reporting & Compliance <br /> • Activities and use of funds are open to public oversight. <br /> • Any private or nonprofit recipient agrees to participate in City monitoring and provide annual <br /> performance updates. <br /> Implementation Requirements: <br /> • Requests must be submitted through the standard application process with budget, measurable <br /> goals, and expected outcomes. <br /> • Applications will be reviewed by staff prior to being sent to City Council for evaluation. <br /> • A grant will not be awarded to applicants already receiving funds from the City of Decatur, IL. <br /> • If awarded, applicants are not eligible to receive grant funding in the next funding cycle. <br /> Awardees may only apply every other funding cycle. <br /> • All approved recipients must sign a funding agreement outlining deliverables, reporting <br /> deadlines, and repayment or claw back provisions for nonperformance. <br /> o Awardees will be required to submit a mid-year and a final year-end report. <br /> • City Council will approve the final awards. <br /> • Grants will be awarded in increments of$10,000 for a total of seven (7) grants. Funds are limited <br /> to a maximum of$70,000. <br /> • Once awarded, and funding agreements have been signed, grants will be issued in a lump sum <br /> payment to the recipient. <br /> 3.2.26 <br />
