1 <br /> Appendix A <br /> r <br /> 10. Contractor shall carefully review and understand the entire bid document package. For <br /> ' each item on the bid form,there is a corresponding item in the special provisions that <br /> describe the item in detail. If perhaps an item is not listed, but is needed to complete the <br /> ' work, the Contractor shall insert that cost into the most representative bid item. No <br /> additional pay will be given for incidental items not covered. <br /> 11. There are a lot of notes on the plans which define scope and give guidance. Please read <br /> all of the notes on the plans. <br /> 12. During design, every effort was made to identify and avoid existing utilities for this <br /> project. There are certain areas where conflicts remain, and the Contractor shall be <br /> ' diligent with notifying the owner prior to encountering a conflict, along with presenting a <br /> resolution. <br /> ' 13. Coordination with the property owners will be critical for this project. We have obtained <br /> a permanent easement for this project, but the Contractor needs to be diligent to remain <br /> ' within the public ROW, or within the easements. If a Contractor needs to be on private <br /> property to complete the work, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to obtain that <br /> ' permission from the property owner. Any damages or cost incurred shall be at the <br /> Contractor's expense, and not basis for additional compensation. <br /> ' 14. This project is adjacent to IDOT, City of Decatur Mass Transit, and will impact multiple <br /> business, and resident entrances. Scheduling, communication and coordination will be <br /> ' paramount. Property owners shall have access to their property at the end of each day. <br /> 15. Contractor is responsible for Construction layout. It is also required that a pre- <br /> construction video be taken and submitted to the owner prior to Construction. It is <br /> recommended that the Contractor also record adjacent areas entering and exiting the <br /> project area. Every attempt shall be made to not damage any areas outside of the areas <br /> defined in the project documents. <br /> 16. Contractor shall keep the project site clean, and as organized as possible. The documents <br /> state that restoration needs to be done as soon as practically possible. The City does not <br /> ' want properties to be disturbed for the entire duration of the project. <br /> 17. The City anticipates that 1 lane of S. Taylorville Rd. will need to be closed during <br /> construction activities. The Contractor shall follow the proper IDOT requirements to <br /> 1 <br />
