Northeast Water Main Extension Bid Recommendation <br /> March 26, 2026 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Clark Dietz has reviewed the four bids in comparison to the bidding requirements described in the Project Manual. <br /> Burdick Plumbing& Heating Co.. Inc.was the apparent low bidder on the Base Bid. Both Addendums were <br /> acknowledged on the Bid Form, the MBE Utilization plan for subcontractors as well as material suppliers was listed, <br /> which appears to exceed the goals set forth in the contract documents.The Bid Bond was included as required. <br /> Burdick Plumbing& Heating Co., Inc. has given a responsive bid. The As-Calculated amount matches the As-Read <br /> amount.They have been a reputable contractor that has performed work in recent history with the City.They have <br /> shown to have the management,workforce, equipment and experience to perform the scope of work requested. <br /> They are familiar with City standards,staff,and the local community. Being located within City, they can respond <br /> quickly and efficiently to properly staff the project to meet the project timeline. <br /> The area of this project has seen a recent interest in development and has been prioritized for future growth.The <br /> City has secured additional funding for this project via a Regional Site Readiness Grant. Clark Dietz. Inc. <br /> recommends that the calculated totals be accepted,with the contract be awarded to Burdick Plumbing&Heating <br /> Co., Inc.The total contract price would be$2,081,975.00, which is just under 17%below the Engineer's Estimate of <br /> Probable Cost.
