Project Description: This project involves performing the 2026 NBIS Routine (In-Depth) & Special inspections and preparation of the ' (Bridge Condition Report (BCR) for Structure Number 058-6000 under the jurisdiction of the Client: BCR will include clear, practical recommendations consistent with BLRS planning expectations, including: • Short-term maintenance and repair actions • Intermediate rehabilitation measures • Long-term rehabilitation or replacement considerations • Prioritization of recommended actions • Identification of potential project development paths (maintenance vs. improvement vs. replacement) Field inspection hours and expenses are based on 2 trips over 2 working days to complete both the Routine (In- Depth), Special, and BCR inspections. Additional hours and expenses required due to unforeseen circumstances. ,will be negotiated with Client for approval of fee prior to completion of work. WHKS will request the use of an IDOT owned under-bridge inspection truck to aid in inspection. If IDOT will not provide use of their under-bridge inspection truck, WHKS will contract with an equipment supplier which will be ;direct billed to the Client. The Client will coordinate and provide traffic control for both days of inspection and will provide a bucket truck for !accessing end spans. It is assumed abutments are sand-filled and confined space entry of vaulted abutments is not required. The work will be done in accordance with "Structural Services Manual", dated 2025, by the IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation), the 3rd Edition of the "Manual for Bridge Evaluation" by AASHTO (American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials), the current "Specifications for Illinois Bridge Inventory" (SIBI) by IDOT, and. all current NBI (National Bridge Inspection) Subscription Service Announcements by IDOT. B. Scope of Services Provided Under This Agreement: 1. Project Management and Meetings l• Perform general project administrative duties including supervision and coordination of the project team, review of project costs, and prepare invoices using Consultant's standard forms. • Advise the Client of the necessity of obtaining Special Engineering Services as described in Paragraph C.. and act as the Client's representative in connection with any such services not performed by WHKS. • Attend one (1) virtual meeting to discuss the Bridge Condition Report and recommendations. 2. Project Coordination and Data Review • Coordinate with the Client and IDOT BLRS as required. i• Obtain, review, and summarize available background information, including: o Previous bridge inspection reports and condition reports o As-built and record plans o Load ratings and posting history o Maintenance and repair records Page 1 of 13 BLR 05530(Rev 10/24/25)
