New pavement striping, utilities will be adjusted, and water service replacements will take place. <br /> Letting Results <br /> The project scope and specifications were prepared by the Engineering Division and approved by the Illinois <br /> Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the use of Motor Fuel Tax funds. The project was advertised on May <br /> 6, 2026, and May 13, 2026. and bids were opened on May 20, 2026. The results of the letting are as follows (bid <br /> tabulation attached): <br /> Bidder Bid Price Compared to Engineer's Est. <br /> Over (Under) <br /> Dunn Company <br /> $4,256,032.04 (1.1%) <br /> Engineer's Estimate <br /> $4,303,696.93 <br /> Three contractors took out bid packages and only one submitted a bid. Dunn Company provided the lowest <br /> responsible bid at 1.1%under the engineer's estimate. Dunn Company has successfully completed many jobs of <br /> this type for the city. <br /> Following approval by the Mayor and City Council. the contracts and bid tabulation will be forwarded to the <br /> Illinois Department of Transportation(IDOT) for final approval in accordance with the rules governing the <br /> disbursement of State Motor Fuel Tax funds. <br />
