The new owners discovered that the
property was incorrectly zoned as an 01- Office District instead of the B2- Commercial District.
The property has operated as a grocery store, salon, and game shop in the past 10-20 years.
PROPOSED REZONING AND POTENTIAL USES
The representative of Bach Investment Group applied for rezoning of the property from 0-1
Office District to B-2 Commercial District to accommodate the intended commercial use. The
proposed rezoning from 0-1 Office District to B-2 Commercial District would allow a set of land
uses to be allowed by right.
The Plan Commission should consider the full range or uses allowed in the proposed zoning
district,Attachment D includes a list of Permitted and Provisional uses allowed in the existing 0-
1 Office District, and the proposed B-2 Commercial District.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DESIGNATION
In 2009,the City of Decatur adopted the Decatur and Macon County Comprehensive Plan.
