4. From record drawings and measured depths, draft a detail for each manhole if deemed necessary
for construction purposes.
5. Tabulate manhole conditions and defects using inspection logs and CCTV files furnished by the
City.
6. Perform a limited number of manhole entries to assess manhole conditions.
7. Draft defects onto the manhole detail drawings, if deemed necessary for construction purposes.
8. Design the necessary repairs and rehabilitation for each manhole.
9. Draft the repairs and rehabilitation onto the detail drawings, if deemed necessary for construction
purposes.
10. Tabulate the manhole repair and rehabilitation quantities.
11. Prepare technical specifications for the manhole repair and rehabilitation methods.
12. Prepare special conditions/provisions for specific areas of attention.
13. BGM will use the City's hydrogen sulfide gas monitors for checking gas concentrations in
manholes. Any cost for calibration and/or repair of the equipment not caused by BGM will be
considered a direct cost of the project.
Sewers
1. From record drawings and measured manhole invert elevations, draft a plan and profile for each
sewer at an appropriate horizontal and vertical scale.
2. Complete CCTV inspections of project sewers that have not been televised.
3. Tabulate sewer conditions and defects using inspection logs and CCTV files furnished by the City
and from the ENGINEER's own inspection logs and CCTV inspections.
4. Perform a limited number of sewer entries and/or internal inspections to assess sewer conditions.
5. Draft defects, sewer conditions and other information onto the sewer profile drawings, if deemed
necessary for construction purposes.
6. Design the necessary repairs and rehabilitation for each sewer segment between manholes.
7. Draft the repairs and rehabilitation onto the sewer profile drawings, if deemed necessary for
construction purposes.
8. Tabulate the repair and rehabilitation on a schedule of quantities.
9. Prepare technical specifications for each of the sewer repair and rehabilitation methods.
10. Prepare special conditions/provisions for specific areas of attention.
Opinion of Probable Cost
1. Prepare an opinion of probable cost for the PROJECT. Most of the items will be based on
estimated quantities and projected unit costs.
Technical Peer Review
1. Perform an in house peer review by engineering and technical personnel that have not worked on
the project.
Project Review with City
1. As the design approaches 30% complete, the ENGINEER will meet with the City to discuss
findings, progress and details of the project. When the project reaches approximately 90%,
preliminary plans will be submitted to the City for review and comment. Any comments by the
City will be incorporated into the final contract documents.
Easements and Rights of Way
1. Where permanent easements or property acquisition is necessary, title policies will be secured to
verify ownership, plats will be drawn and easements will be drafted.
