k. Deliverables: <br /> • Five sets of Plans and Specifications <br /> • Opinion of Probable Cost <br /> • IEPA Construction Permit Application <br /> • Easement Documents and Plats for the acquisition of the necessary easements and <br /> land <br /> CONSTRUCTION PHASE <br /> The ENGINEER shall furnish services during the construction period generally comprised of the <br /> following: <br /> a. Consult with the CITY and with the Contractor on interpretation of plans and <br /> specifications regarding any changes under consideration as construction proceeds. <br /> b. Provide periodic job-site representation during the construction period, but the <br /> ENGINEER does not guarantee the performance of the contract by the Contractor. A <br /> Resident Project Representative shall not be provided. <br /> C. Prepare and submit all payment estimates, change orders, records and reports required <br /> by the CITY. <br /> d. Conduct final inspection of construction and prepare final papers and reports. <br /> e. Revise contract drawings to show location and nature of improvement after <br /> construction and supply "Record" drawings consisting of an electronic file copy and one <br /> set of paper prints to the CITY based on record field drawings prepared and maintained <br /> by the CITY during the course of construction. <br /> f. Review all shop and working drawings for general conformity to the contract <br /> documents. <br /> g. Review and check all reports by testing laboratories on equipment and material tested. <br /> h. Provide control points to establish the horizontal and vertical control required for <br /> construction of the various contract items of work, but the ENGINEER shall not be <br /> responsible for any dimension or measurement taken or derived by the CONTRACTOR <br /> such control points. <br /> Last Revised:05/15/2013 <br />
