SPECIAL PROVISIONS The following Standard Specifications shall govern this project: The Illinois Department of Transportation(IDOT) "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", adopted January 1, 2012. The"Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways" current version in effect on the date of invitation for bids. ' The"Manual of Test Procedures for Materials"current version in effect on the date of invitation for bids. The City of Decatur,Department of Public Works, Engineering Division "Construction Standards", dated January 1, 2003. All references in the Special Provisions by section or article are to the"Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction",published by the Illinois Department of Transportation and adopted January 1, 2012 and Subsequent Special Provisions and ' Recurring Special Provisions, adopted January 1, 2014. The following Special Provisions supplement,the Standard Specifications listed above and in case of conflict with any part, or parts of said specifications,the Special Provisions will take precedence and shall govern. SP-1 DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Star Route Road Improvement Project is to improve approximately 0.6 miles Star Route Road north of Reas Bridge Road,with 0.4 miles of cement modified base, Class A-2 and a Class A-1 bituminous surface treatment in accordance with the plans and specifications provided herein. ' SP-2 STATUS OF UTILITIES Verification of the locations of conflicting underground utilities is the responsibility of the Contractor. ' Toll Free J.U.L.I.E.
