AGREEMENT <br /> The City of Decatur, Illinois (`Cite and the Decatur Metropolitan Exposition, Auditorium <br /> and Office Building Authority (Authority), both units of local government and parties to an <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement and subsequently approved Amendments enter into this <br /> Agreement whereby the City desires the Authority to provide certain janitorial services and the <br /> Authority agrees to provide certain janitorial services as described herein. <br /> 1. Facilities Involved. During the term of the Agreement, the Authority agrees to <br /> furnish such personnel and supervision as is necessary or desirable to perform specified janitorial <br /> services at the following City facilities (herein collectively designated as`Facilitieft <br /> A. Municipal Service Center(NI,SC)located at 2600 N. Jasper St., Decatur, IL; <br /> B. Water Treatment Plant (Water Plant)located at 1155 S. Martin Luther King <br /> Jr. Drive, Decatur, IL; <br /> C. City Office(Civic Center) (`City Offices)located at#1 Gary K. Anderson <br /> Plaza, Decatur, IL; and, <br /> D. Decatur Police Department (DPD), located at 707 West Southside Drive, <br /> Decatur, IL. <br /> 2. Janitorial Services To Be Performed. A description of the janitorial work to be <br /> performed at each facility, and the date such services are to begin is attached hereto as Exhibit A <br /> and hereby made a part hereof. Keys or methods of entry shall be furnished to the Authority in <br /> order for the work to be done at the times specified. Work will be performed on City holidays, as <br /> well as Saturdays and Sundays, if the services described in Exhibit A require such work at such <br /> times. <br /> 3. Supplies and Equipment. The City will furnish, at its cost, all cleaning supplies <br /> and equipment that are necessary or desirable to be used in the performance of the duties of the <br /> Authority under the terms of this Agreement. Further, the City shall furnish at the location of <br /> each facility sufficient space for the storage of such supplies and equipment which space <br /> preferably may be secured by a lock for which the Authority will have keys. The Authority shall <br /> not be required to furnish any equipment or supplies in the performance of its duties under this <br /> Agreement unless said equipment or supplies are lost, damaged, stolen or otherwise rendered <br /> unusable due to the Authoritys actions. <br /> 4. Employees. The Authority shall employ only persons of good moral character and <br /> reputation to perform the work described in this Agreement. Any employee hired by the <br /> Authority to perform services under the terms of this agreement shall, prior to employment, <br /> undergo a background check through the City Police Department on forms provided by such <br />
