5. The CITY agrees to cause its utilities installed on right of way after said right of way was acquired by the STATE or installed within the limits of a roadway after the said roadway's jurisdiction was assumed by the STATE, to be relocated and/or adjusted, if required, at no expense to the STATE. 6. Upon final field inspection of the improvement and so long as FAP 712 (IL 105) is used as a State Highway, the STATE agrees to maintain or cause to be maintained the 11'- 22' variable width through driving lanes on the ramps at the interchange of IL 105 and Busn US 51, the 6' and variable width and the 19' and variable width medians lying within the pavement of IL 105, the through traffic lanes lying on either side of the centerline or medians of IL 105, the left-turn and right-turn lanes adjacent to the through lanes on IL 105, the curb and gutter and stabilized shoulders adjacent to those traffic lanes and turn lanes to be maintained by the STATE. 7. Upon final field inspection of the improvement, the CITY agrees to maintain or cause to be maintained those portions of this improvement which are not maintained by the STATE, including but not limited to, all sidewalks and curb ramps installed as part of this project and all other items as agreed upon in permits and other agreements preceding this project between the CITY and the STATE, 8. The CITY further agrees to continue its existing maintenance responsibilities on all side road approaches under its jurisdiction, including all left and right turn lanes on said side road approaches, up to the through edge of pavement of IL 105. 9. The CITY further agrees that upon acceptance by the STATE of the traffic signal work included herein, the responsibility for maintenance and energy shall continue to be as outlined in the Master Agreement executed by the STATE and the CITY and effective on July 1, 2011. 10. The CITY agrees to provide written approval of that portion of the plans and specifications relative to the CITY's financial and maintenance obligations described herein, prior to the STATE's advertising for the aforedescribed proposed improvement. A sample is included as Exhibit B.
