5. The CITY agrees to cause its utilities installed on right of way after said right of way was <br /> acquired by the STATE or installed within the limits of a roadway after the said <br /> roadway's jurisdiction was assumed by the STATE, to be relocated and/or adjusted, if <br /> required, at no expense to the STATE. <br /> 6. Upon final field inspection of the improvement and so long as FAP 712 (IL 105) is used <br /> as a State Highway, the STATE agrees to maintain or cause to be maintained the 11'- <br /> 22' variable width through driving lanes on the ramps at the interchange of IL 105 and <br /> Busn US 51, the 6' and variable width and the 19' and variable width medians lying <br /> within the pavement of IL 105, the through traffic lanes lying on either side of the <br /> centerline or medians of IL 105, the left-turn and right-turn lanes adjacent to the through <br /> lanes on IL 105, the curb and gutter and stabilized shoulders adjacent to those traffic <br /> lanes and turn lanes to be maintained by the STATE. <br /> 7. Upon final field inspection of the improvement, the CITY agrees to maintain or cause to <br /> be maintained those portions of this improvement which are not maintained by the <br /> STATE, including but not limited to, all sidewalks and curb ramps installed as part of this <br /> project and all other items as agreed upon in permits and other agreements preceding <br /> this project between the CITY and the STATE, <br /> 8. The CITY further agrees to continue its existing maintenance responsibilities on all side <br /> road approaches under its jurisdiction, including all left and right turn lanes on said side <br /> road approaches, up to the through edge of pavement of IL 105. <br /> 9. The CITY further agrees that upon acceptance by the STATE of the traffic signal work <br /> included herein, the responsibility for maintenance and energy shall continue to be as <br /> outlined in the Master Agreement executed by the STATE and the CITY and effective on <br /> July 1, 2011. <br /> 10. The CITY agrees to provide written approval of that portion of the plans and <br /> specifications relative to the CITY's financial and maintenance obligations described <br /> herein, prior to the STATE's advertising for the aforedescribed proposed improvement. A <br /> sample is included as Exhibit B. <br />
