{
I
Excerpts from Plan Commission Meeting Minutes December 4,2014
Cal.No. 14-39 Petition MATTHEW L. JACKSON,to rezone property located at 2635 N.
22"a STREET that is not currently zoned B-2 Commercial District from
M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District to B-2 Commercial
District.
Ms. Stickle presented the recommendation of staff-
The subject site is currently zoned M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District and consists
of portions of five(5)lots.
The petitioner proposes to rezone from M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District to B-2
Commercial District to allow for a new subdivision that will allow for the reconfiguration of
their properties. -
The rezoning is necessary to allow for the reconfiguration of lots so that all lots that are created
in the proposed subdivision are each classified by only one(1)zoning district. The rezoning
would allow for the proposed Lot Three (3) of the proposed World of Power Sports Second
Addition to only be zoned B-2 Commercial District.
Rezoning the site from M-1 Intense Commercial-Light Industrial District to B-2 Commercial
District would decrease the intensity of the uses permitted on the site and not create any adverse
effects on the adjacent properties or the City as a whole.
Staff recommends approval of the rezoning.
en Number 14-39 to the Ci Council with a recommendation for
A motion to forward Calendar City
approval is suggested.
Mrs. Sharon Samuelson, SKS Engineers, Inc. was sworn in by Mrs. Althoff.
Mrs. Samuelson stated that the proposed addition is 10,000 square feet that will extend west on
the property that the petitioner also owns.
Mr. Livingston asked if the addition was going to be a warehouse or showroom.
Mrs. Samuelson stated that the addition would be the sales area and that the warehouse is on the
adjacent lot to the west.
It was moved and seconded(Myatt/Newton)to forward Calendar No. 14-39 to the City Council
with a recommendation for approval. Motion carried unanimously.
