COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> #2014 -21 <br /> DATE: November 18, 2014 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Michael T. McElroy and City Council <br /> FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: City Code Chapter 7 Amendment <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached <br /> ordinance regarding changes to Chapter 7 of City Code, to provide for the position of Budget <br /> and Revenue Officer in the Finance Department. <br /> BACKGROUND: The Director of Finance has proposed that the job title for the position of <br /> "Auditor" be revised to "Budget and Revenue Officer", and that the position description be <br /> revised to reflect the incumbent's current duties and responsibilities. Duties of this position were <br /> last updated in 2003. The incumbent would be assigned the new position title, and no <br /> compensation change would occur as a result of this action. <br /> In order to complete this process, Council's approval of the attached change in City Code <br /> Chapter 7, Section 2 is required. The reference therein to "Auditor" would be removed, and the <br /> title "Budget and Revenue Officer" would be inserted. It is recommended that the change be <br /> effective immediately upon approval by Council. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objectors to this change. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Questions regarding the ordinance should be directed to nye, at 424- <br /> 2801 or rmccradvCa)-decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: There are no budgetary impacts for this change. <br /> Attachments <br />
