The surrounding zoning includes M-1 Intense Commercial/Light Industrial District to the north <br /> and R-1 Single Family Residence District to the east. The Macon County and Decatur Comprehensive Plan shows this site as employment. The <br /> Comprehensive Plan shows retail to the north and west and residential-low density to the south, <br /> east and west. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Staff recommends approval of the rezoning. <br /> PLAN COMMISSION ACTION <br /> 1. Section XXIX. of the City of Decatur Zoning Ordinance requires the Plan Co 'ssion to hold a <br /> public hearing on a rezoning request,and then forward its report and recommer dation to the City <br /> Council for final approval.
