12) Pay to the City of Decatur or the Commission all or a portion of the cc sts of maintaining and <br /> conducting the public hearing including, but not limited to the costs and fees of the investigation, the <br /> hearing officer and court reporter. (Amended, Ordinance No. 2009-77, October 19,2009) <br /> SECTION 5-12. If damage awards or fines ordered hereunder are not paid ithin thirty(30)days <br /> after they are assessed, they shall be considered to be debts to the City of Decatur or the party to whom <br /> they are owed under the terms of said order, and shall be collectible in the same m nner provided by law <br /> for the collection of all other debts. <br /> ARTICLE 6. EMPLOYMENT. <br /> SECTION 6-1. The following definitions are applicable only as said words or phrases are used in <br /> this Article: <br /> A. "Citizenship Status" means the status of being: <br /> a) a born U.S. citizen; <br /> b) a naturalized U.S. citizen; <br /> c) a U.S.national; or, <br /> d) a person born outside the United States and not a U.S. ci izen who is not an <br /> unauthorized alien and who is protected from discrimination under the provisions of Section 1324b of <br /> Title 8 of the United States Code, as now or hereafter amended. <br /> B. (1) "Employee" includes: <br /> a) Any individual performing services for remuneration within this 1,tate for an <br /> employer; <br /> b) An apprentice; <br /> c) An applicant for any apprenticeship. <br /> (2) "Employee" does not include: <br /> a) Domestic servants in private homes; <br /> b) Individuals employed by persons who are not "employers" as defi ed by this Article; <br /> c) Elected public officials or the members of their immediate person 1 staffs; <br />
