The results for the letting are as followst <br /> Compared to <br /> Bi der Bid Price Engineer's Est. <br /> Over(-Under) <br /> SAK Construction, LLC 379,905.20 (-20.03%) <br /> Hoerr Construction, Inc. 383,991.80 (-19.17%) <br /> Insituform Technologies,USA, LLC 389,440.00 (-18.03%) <br /> Michels Pipe Services 449,148.00 (-5.46%) <br /> Visu-Sewer of Illinois, LLC 513,694.25 8.13% <br /> Engineer's Estimate $475,081.50 -------- <br /> RECOMMENDED AWARD:SAK Construction, LLC provided the lowest, qualified bid. SAK is located in the St. Louis <br /> area and has successfully completed sewer lining work for the City in the past. They were a main contractor involved in the <br /> Lake Shore Drive Sewer Rehabilitation project which was completed in 2014. SAK will adhere to the prevailing wage <br /> requirements of the State of Illinois. Staff recommends that the City Council approve a contract with SAK Construction, <br /> LLC to perform the 2015 Trenchless Long Lining Repairs project. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objections to this resolution and bid award. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES:None <br /> SCHEDULE: The project will begin in August and is to be completed in October of this year. <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact <br /> Funding for this project is allocated in the Sewer Fund. The recommended low bid amount s$379,905.20. The Sewer <br /> Fund is supported by sanitary sewer user fees. <br /> Staff Impact <br /> Staff time has been allocated to provide oversight for this project. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer <br /> any questions of the Council on this item.
