COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> #2014-03 <br /> DATE: March 4, 2014 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor Michael T. McElroy and City Council <br /> FROM: Ryan P. McCrady, City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: Amendment to Chapter 52, Section 7 License Fee <br /> BACKGROUND: Currently a late fee of $10.00 per day is imposed when a liquor <br /> establishment turns their Annual Renewal Application into the CityClerk's Office after <br /> June 1. To deter establishments from this practice, an increase of $100.00 plus $20.00 <br /> per day is requested. <br /> COUNCIL CONSIDERATION: Council is asked to consider increas ng the late fee to <br /> $100.00 plus $20.00 per day. Staff recommends approval. <br /> BUDGETITIME IMPLICATIONS: There are no budget implications. Annual Renewal <br /> Applications are expected to be mailed to establishments the week f March 17-21.
