stated that the property in question is located immediately across the street, to the west of the
Bank of Niantic and the use will be a professional medical office building tha is consistent with
the original intent with what the City would hope to develop in the area. Mr. Cochran stated that
the facility will have one, two or three doctors and that the sewer and water are in place along
with all infrastructure and the storm detention was constructed as part of the overall development
using the existing detention facilities. Mr. Cochran stated that it was unfo ate that the water
park did not get built because that was going to be the prime mover and it was everyone's intent
and hope that the rest of the properties would become property tax producers. Mr. Cochran
stated that there will be quality developments in the area.
Mr. Frantz asked with the increase in traffic on Parkway Crossing will there be a traffic signal
added.
Mr. Cochran stated no, typically medical facilities are by appointments only aild there will be no
peak period or any large volume of customers that would require signals.
It was moved and seconded (Myatt/Frantz) to forward Cal. No. 12-07 to the City Council with
recommendation for approval as presented by staff. Motion carried unanimou ly.
