Bauer, Assistant City Manager <br /> SUBJECT: City Code Chapter 7 Changes <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City Council approve the attached <br /> ordinance regarding ch n <br /> 9es to Chapter 7 of City Code that establishes the City Manager's <br /> authority to appoint and remove individuals from certain positions. <br /> BACKGROUND: Periodically, Chapter 7 Section 2 of City Code regarding tie City Manager's <br /> authority to appoint and remove individuals from certain positions requires L pdating, to reflect <br /> the current budget and changes that have taken place over time. Thea ached ordinance <br /> effectuates this update, and brings the Code in line with current staffing. <br /> Included in this update are the positions of Engineering Services Coordinator and Water <br /> Distribution Supervisor in the Water Management Department, and GIS Specialist in the Public <br /> Works Department. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: There are no known objectors to this update. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: None. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Questions regarding the ordinance should be direct d to me, at 424- <br /> 2801 or rmccrady(a--)decaturil.gov. <br /> BUDGETITIME IMPLICATIONS: The Fiscal Year 2014 budget includes th se changes, and <br /> they will be implemented immediately. <br /> attachments <br />
