Section Three Continued <br /> Purpose I Please state the purpose of the proposed rezoning. <br /> g <br /> Owners petition to amend the Woodmound Plaza Shopping Center District to axpand the existing <br /> building pad and add one detached 20' X18' building pad on Lot 12 as shown on attached drawing. <br /> Owners also request a variance reducing the reqd. stacked parking spaces at drive-up from 10 to 5. <br /> SECTION FOUR: JUSTIFICATION <br /> The petitioner submits to the City Plan Commission and City Council the ollowin acts addit ional es may be attached): <br /> The Ownersetition to make changes to the Woodmound Plaza Shopping Center District so the <br /> p 9 pp 9 <br /> business on Lot 12 can expand. Plans for Lot 12 include relocating the drive-up window to the west <br /> end of the building in a 78 sf addition and adding a patio area on the south side under the existing <br /> canopy at the current drive-up window location. These changes will improve s fety by eliminating the <br /> conflict between patrons that park on the south side of the building and vehicl s using the drive-up <br /> window. The plans also include a 160 sf addition on the north side of the building to allow for <br /> expanding the vestibule to provide an area for patrons to wait during adverse Weather conditions. <br /> The plans also include the addition of one 360 sf building pad to construct a detached storage <br /> building required for dry storage needs (ie. unused furniture). The requested changes will not alter <br /> the essential character of the shopping center district or unreasonably increase congestion in the <br /> shopping center district. <br /> SECTION FIVE: CERTIFICATION <br /> To be placed on the agenda of the regular meeting on the first Thursday of the month at 3:00 <br /> PM in the City Council Chambers, petition must be received on the first Thursday of the <br /> preceding month. Failure of the petitioner or the petitioner's representative to attend the Plan <br /> Commission hearing may result in items being tabled. Said sign will be removed within 15 days of final action by City Council. <br /> 3. In the event a petition for rezoning is denied by the Council, another petition for a change to the same d strict shall not be filed within a <br /> period of one year from the date of denial, except upon the initiation of the City Council or the City Plan Commission after showing a <br /> change of circumstances which would warrant a renewal. <br /> 4.
