ORDINANCE NO. 2013-42 ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE - CHAPTER 34- - TRAFFIC AND PARKING— BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and the same is hereby modified and amended by amending language to Section 64, reflecting the amendment. Said Section 64 as so modified and amended, shall provide as follows: 64. CONFERENCE OR CONVENTION PARKING PERMP*S. The City Manager, Public Works Director or designee may issue parking permits to bona fide groups sponsoring conferences, conventions and similar events in Decatur for use at any three hour or longer free parking space, except in P�rking Lot E. The group sponsoring the conference must purchase passes for the ientire group at least five business days in advance by paying a fee established in Sction 74 of this chapter per space per day. The conference organizer shall pro�ide each patron with a printed conference parking permit hang-tag which shall)be hung from the interior rear view mirror,or certificate which shall be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle parked. The conference or convention parking permit shall be valid for the entire day for which it is issued and shall include the ri�ht to leave the parking spaces and return to the parking spaces without additional cost. Said payment is to be made to the Financial Management Department of the City of Decatur. 1 Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the provisions hereof to be appropriately set out in the City Code and to cause the same to be published in pamphlet form according to law.
