LOBBYING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> This agreement entered into this 1St day of July, 2013 by and between CURRY & <br /> ASSOCIATES, L.L.C., (hereinafter referred to as "CURRY"), a government consulting firm located <br /> 4804 Fletcher Lane, Mt. Zion, Illinois 62549, and the City of Decatur (hereinafter referred to as <br /> "THE CLIENT"), located at One Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, Illinois 62523. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> 1. This agreement shall be effective as of July 1, 2013 and shall continue in full force <br /> and effect through June 30, 2014 provided, however, either party may terminate <br /> this Agreement at any time without liability upon thirty (30) days' written notice. <br /> Notice shall be sent to the address contained for each party in this agreement. <br /> 2. CURRY, hereby agrees to perform some or all of the following services for THE <br /> CLIENT; review and monitor legislation before the Illinois General Assembly which it <br /> considered or is advised is of interest to THE CLIENT; represent THE CLIENT before <br /> the Illinois General Assembly with regard to legislation that is of interest to THE <br /> CLIENT; represent THE CLIENT with regard to matters with the Executive Branch and <br /> Agencies under the control of the Executive Branch; represent THE CLIENT with <br /> regard to matters before other state constitutional or regulatory offices; to meet <br /> with THE CLIENT'S assigned government affairs staff or legislative coordinator; and <br /> upon request, provide written reports of legislative activity. <br /> 3. CURRY, agrees to act only with confirmation and direction from THE CLIENT as to <br /> each lobbying activity. CURRY, or THE CLIENT may suggest an area of lobby activity <br /> to be followed by appropriate confirmation from THE CLIENT. <br /> 4. For and in consideration of the above, THE CLIENT agrees to pay CURRY, a monthly <br /> retainer of$2,500.00 per month. This retainer payment shall be due on the 15th day <br /> of each month and shall continue to be due of the same day of each subsequent <br /> month for the duration of the agreement. If payment is not received by the 30th day <br /> of the month, this agreement shall be considered null and void and CURRY shall not <br /> perform any further services on behalf of THE CLIENT until all retainer and expense <br /> payment have been paid in full. <br /> 5. It is understood and agreed that the compensation recited in section 4 includes <br /> usual and ordinary costs and expenses. If CURRY, determines that there is a need to <br /> incur extraordinary costs and expenses in the performances of Services hereunder, <br />
