Recommended Award Kinney Contractors, Inc. provided the low bid for the proposed work. Kinney has satisfactorily completed numerous projects for the City. Staff contacted other municipalities regarding Kinney's water main experience and received positive feedback regarding their work. Staff recommends that the City Council approve a contract with Kinney Contractors, Inc., to perform the 2013 Annual Water Main Replacement Project. SCHEDULE The project is scheduled to begin in May, and be completed in July. BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Budget Impact: Funding for this project is allocated in the Water Capital Projects Fund. The recommended low bid amount is $48,982.50. Staffing Impact: Staff time has been allocated in the Capital Improvement Plan. POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution and bid award.
