Types of Credit- Credits will be earned in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> For each year of service 5 credits/yr. <br /> For the number of continuous years from the present <br /> with no preventable job injury(ies) 1 credit/yr. <br /> For the number of continuous years from the present <br /> with no preventable vehicle accident(s) 1 credit/yr. <br /> For the number of continuous years from the present <br /> with no absences per year 1 credit/yr. <br /> For the number of continuous years from the present <br /> with no disciplinary action(s) 1 credit/yr. <br /> For each credit earned toward a baccalaureate or <br /> graduate degree at an accredited college or university 1 credit <br /> For each new certification earned for a job-related skill <br /> (not involving CEOs or college credits) 1 credit <br /> For each continuing educational unit (CEU) earned for <br /> a job-related skill 1 credit <br /> Payment - Incentive Pay will be determined semiannually and will be paid pro rata bi- <br /> weekly. <br /> Suspension of Payment - In the event of an employee's leave of absence for either a du- <br /> ty-related or non-duty-related injury, illness or disability, Incentive Pay shall continue to be <br /> earned by the employee, but payment shall be suspended after day thirty (30) of the leave, for <br /> the duration of the leave, for the purpose of facilitating the employee's receipt of Illinois Munici- <br /> pal Retirement Fund (IMRF) disability benefits; i.e. continuation of service credits, pension pro- <br /> tection, and eligibility for death benefits. All incentive payments earned while the employee is <br /> on a qualified leave of absence shall be payable upon the employee's return to duty, on the fol- <br /> lowing regular bi-weekly payroll cycle. In the event the employee is not released to return to du- <br /> ty, the accrued incentive pay shall be disbursed with the employee's final pay. <br /> (b) A premium will be paid annually at the end of the fiscal year per the following sched- <br /> ule to any employee who maintains and uses for the City's benefit the following certification(s) <br /> for any portions of that fiscal year: <br /> Certified Pesticide Applicator - $300 <br /> Certified Pesticide Operator - $150 <br /> IEPA Certified Drinking Water Supply Operator— Class D - $300 <br /> The premium for the water supply operator license applies only to employees in the Water Dis- <br /> tribution Section of the Water Management Department. <br /> Section 7. For purposes of administering this agreement, a crew in the Public Works <br /> and Water Management Departments is defined as two employees working as a group, one of <br /> which is a Crew Chief, or three or more employees working together as a group, one of which is <br /> either a Crew Chief or an employee receiving out of classification pay as a Crew Chief. For this <br /> section, the term "employee" does not include seasonal or temporary employees. <br /> Section 8. Upon implementation of the Emergency Communications Specialist clas- <br /> sification, the date for subsequent annual performance evaluation shall be the anniversary date <br /> of the employee's appointment to City service or of the employee's appointment to County ser- <br /> 10 <br />
