2. The Livery Company shall notify the Decatur Public Transit System whenever new <br /> fares go into effect. <br /> 3. If one or more Operation Uplift riders are traveling from a single origin to a single <br /> destination, then the total fare shall be the charge for one "First Passenger"trip plus <br /> charges for the other riders and escorts at the appropriate "Each additional passenger" <br /> rates. <br /> 4. If two or more Operation Uplift riders are traveling from two or more origins and/or <br /> going to two or more destinations,then the total fare shall be calculated as follows: <br /> A. If there are two origin points and/or two destinations, then the fare shall be the . <br /> highest "First Passenger"trip charge, based on the two furthest points of the trip, <br /> plus one half of that highest"First Passenger"trip charge,plus the appropriate <br /> "Each additional passenger" charge for each additional Operation Uplift rider <br /> and/or escort over two (i.e. total riders and escorts minus two). <br /> B. If there are three origin points and/or three destinations,then the fare shall be <br /> twice the highest"First Passenger"trip charge, based on the two furthest points of <br /> the trip,plus the appropriate "Each additional passenger" charge for each <br /> additional rider and/or escort over three (i.e. total riders and escorts minus three). <br /> 5. If any one rider wishes to travel to more than one destination, then travel to each <br /> destination is a separate trip and each trip, to be eligible for reimbursement, must have <br /> been scheduled at least the day before the day of service,unless it is an emergency <br /> situation or otherwise approved by the City. <br /> 6. The Livery Company shall collect, for each one-way ride, $2.00 from each eligible <br /> Operation Uplift rider and $2.00 from each escort, five(5) years of age and older, <br /> accompanying an eligible Operation Uplift participant. Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) <br /> and children less than 5 years of age shall ride for free, when accompanying an eligible <br /> Operation Uplift rider. <br /> A. Escorts accompanying an eligible Operation Uplift participant must pay their <br /> portion of the fare in cash. Eligible Operation Uplift riders may pay their portion <br /> of the fare in one of the following ways: <br /> • by cash payment; or <br /> • by presenting a valid Operation Uplift/ADA Paratransit Monthly Pass <br /> issued by the Decatur Public Transit System(DPTS); or <br /> • by presenting a valid Operation Uplift/ADA Paratransit Punch Card, <br /> issued by DPTS,which the taxi driver shall punch. <br /> B. The Livery Company's drivers shall record the types and amounts of fare <br /> payments on the Taxicab/Livery Ride Forms. <br /> 7. The City shall set the amount of the fare to be paid by Operation Uplift participants <br /> and their escorts and reserves the right to change those amounts from time to time. <br /> - 8 - <br />
