A design decision was made to support the Sanitary District interceptor on individual <br /> piers in order to reduce conflicts with roadway Y construction. <br /> Items 6-7. Early in the process, one additional soil boring was made in Lake Decatur on the <br /> possibility of needing to install a bridge pier in the lake. This boring proved to be a <br /> necessary part of the design. <br /> Item 8. Investigations are being made to design aesthetic treatments for the Sanitary District <br /> Interceptor. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There are no known objections to this resolution. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Illinois Department of Transportation <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director and Matthew Newell, City <br /> Engineer. Richard Marley will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to answer any <br /> questions of the Council on this item. <br /> BUDGEUTIME IMPLICATIONS: <br /> Budget Impact: <br /> The proposed design services amendment with URS Corporation is for a cost not to exceed <br /> $27,000, for a total design services contract cost of$246,200.
