Excerpts from Plan Commission Minutes of September 6,2012 continued:
The amended PD plan has been reviewed and approved by the City's Technical Review
Committee, Planning, Engineering and Fire.
Based on the analysis, staff recommends approval of the amended PD Planned Development
Plan with the following conditions:
a. Final site, landscaping and lighting plans shall be submitted to and approved by the
Department of Planning and Building Services, Public Works Department and the Fire
Department prior to building permits being released.
b. A Subdivision Final Plat must be submitted to and approved by the Department of
Planning and Building Services, Public Works Department and the Fire Department prior
to building permits being released.
A motion to forward Calendar Number 12-31 to the City Council with a recommendation for
approval is suggested.
Mr. Phil Cochran said some of the Plan Commission members may remember when this project
was presented to the Plan Commission last October. It was approved by the Plan Commission
and City Council. When the Brinkoetters made their submittal to the State of Illinois they were
told they would have to have separate staff and administrators. This was not practical for them.
If the buildings are connected they are able to use the same staff and administrators. This project
has been a long term goal of the Brinkoetters to provide a total seniors living environment which
includes independent to the assisted living to the nursing home and now the memory care
facility. The project will be a twenty (20) unit facility attached to the northwest corner of the
existing building through a walkway.
There were no objectors present and no questions.
It was moved and seconded (Peck/Newton) to forward Cal. No. 12-31 to the City Council with
recommendation for approval as presented by staff. Motion carried unanimously.
