ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS <br /> 64. WATER SERVICE <br /> 23. PENALTY. No person shall connect or cause the connection of a water service <br /> to the water system of the City except as provided by the City Code. No person shall restore water <br /> service from the water system of the City after such service has been turned off by the Department <br /> of Water Management without first obtaining written permission from the City to do so. No person <br /> shall resell water furnished through a water service from the water system of the City except upon <br /> express contract in writing approved by the City Council. No person other than an authorized <br /> employee of the City or an authorized permittee of the City shall open, take water from, or interfere <br /> with City fire hydrants. No person shall use or consume water in violation of any duly authorized <br /> rule or regulation established pursuant to Section 22 hereof. Any person, firm or corporation who <br /> shall violate any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall <br /> eenvietion thereof be fined not less than Two Hundred Fifty <br /> Dollars ($250.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) and each day upon which a <br /> continuing violation occurs shall be viewed as a separate offense. In addition thereto any person, <br /> firm or corporation eenvi ted of a elatien ^F who shall violate this section, or found to be in <br /> violation of any of the other provisions of this Chapter, or any regulation duly established <br /> hereunder, may, by such violation, be deemed to have forfeited the privilege or right, as the case <br /> may be, of being furnished water from the water system of the City, and any and all water service of <br /> such person may be shut off or disconnected from said water system. The City may also institute <br /> any other action provided by law for the recovery of the value of any water appropriated from the <br /> City water system in violation of any provision of this Chapter. <br /> 25. TAMPERING WITH WATER INFRASTRUCTURE. Any person who <br /> tampers, injures, alters, obstructs, prevents the action of, or breaks the seal on any City water <br /> infrastructure component, including, but not limited to water meters and their accessories, curb <br /> stops, water mains, water valves, air release valves, hydrants, storage reservoirs, elevated tanks and <br /> treatment facilities served by the City without the permission of the City, or who, without such <br /> permission, by-passes or jumps a water infrastructure component shall . tion t oro^r, be <br /> fined not less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) nor more than <br /> One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) for each offense and each day upon which a <br /> continuing violation occurs shall be viewed as a separate offense. Said violation is grounds for the <br /> termination of water service to that meter and to any other water service carried in the name of the <br /> person, firm or corporation. <br /> 65. WATER MAIN CONNECTION CHARGES <br /> ..8. PENALTY. Any person, firm or corporation who violates any of the provisions <br /> of this Chapter shall be fined not less than One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) nor more than <br /> Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense and each day upon which a violation occurs or <br /> continues shall constitute a separate offense. <br />
