ORDINANCE NO. 2011-32 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR - EASTER SEALS CENTRAL ILLINOIS, INC. - WHEREAS, Easter Seals Central Illinois, Inc. has requested the consumption of alcoholic liquor on public right-of-way for the Easter Seals Central Illinois, Inc. "Kick-N- Asphalt" Autism Run on Saturday, June 4, 2011; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of Easter Seals Central Illinois, Inc. to offer alcoholic beverages for sale to patrons for consumption at this event; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on Merchant Street requires the express approval of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the day listed herein, and only on such day, between the hours listed, alcoholic beverages may be consumed on Merchant Street, said day and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, June 4, 2011 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Section 2. That no alcoholic beverage may be consumed as provided herein unless such alcoholic beverage is in a plastic or paper cup.
