Marley, P.E., Public Works Director <br /> SUBJECT: Ordinance Authorizing the Installation of an All Way Stop at the <br /> Intersection of Linden Avenue and Forest Avenue <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission for the City of Decatur recommends the approval of the <br /> attached Ordinance authorizing the installation of an all way stop at the intersection of Linden <br /> Avenue and Forest Avenue. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> At the July 13, 2010, meeting of the Traffic & Parking Commission, the Commission approved a <br /> motion to install an all way stop at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Forest Avenue. <br /> The Traffic and Parking Commission recommends that an all way stop be installed at Linden <br /> Avenue and Forest Avenue due to the traffic on Forest and the poor sight distance present at <br /> Linden Avenue. <br /> Excerpts of the minutes of the July Traffic and Parking Commission meeting are attached with <br /> the ordinance for Council's review. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTION; No objections anticipated. <br /> INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Traffic and Parking Commission <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: Richard Marley, Public Works Director, at 424- <br /> 2747 <br /> Matt Newell, City Engineer, at 424-2747 <br /> Richard Marley, Public Works Director, will be in attendance at the City Council meeting to <br /> answer any questions of the Council on this item. <br /> Page I 1 <br />
