y
EXCERPTS OF THE
MINUTES OF THE
TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION MEETING
Tuesday, June 8, 2010, 4:00 P.M.
Item#2 Request for an all way stop at the intersection of Church Street and North
Street.
Over the past three years there have been six recorded traffic accidents. This is over the normal
for an uncontrolled intersection in the City.
Due to the accident rate above normal and poor sight distance at this intersection Rick Marley
motioned to approve the request for an all way stop at the intersection of Church Street and
North Street and seconded by Ed Harris. All were in favor. The Chairman declared the motion
carried.
Item#3 Request for an all way stop at the intersection of Moore Street and 17th
Street.
The concern is speeding on 17th Street. There is also poor sight distance through the intersection
due to trees, houses and landscaping.
Ed Harris motioned to approve a two way stop at the intersection of Moore Street and 17th Street
facing Moore Street and seconded by Wick Anderson. All were in favor. The Chairman
declared the motion carried.
