ORDINANCE NO. 2010-12 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 34- <br /> - TRAFFIC — <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 34 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, <br /> and the same is hereby, modified and amended by amending Sections 50, 70 and 77. B., <br /> so that said Sections 50, 70 and 77. B. as so modified and amended, shall provide as <br /> follows: <br /> 50. TEMPORARY RESERVATION OF PARKING SPACE. The <br /> City Manager or authorized designee may authorize the temporary <br /> reservation of parking meter spaces by individuals, corporations, or other <br /> organizations at the rate of Ten Dollars ($10.00) per day for each space so <br /> reserved if such reservation is necessary or desirable in order to allow said <br /> individual, corporation or other organization to perform a service or <br /> accomplish a job or project of short duration. Said fee shall be paid prior <br /> to receiving the meter hood. This section shall apply to all current events, <br /> except those that are City-sponsored. <br /> 70. DOWNTOWN EMPLOYEE PARKING PERMITS. <br /> A. Each Downtown Employee shall, upon providing proof of <br /> employment in the Central Business District, defined as that area bounded <br /> on the north by the right-of-way line of Eldorado Street, on the west by the <br /> right-of-way line of Church Street, on the south by the right-of-way line of <br /> Wood Street, and on the east by the right-of-way line of Martin Luther <br /> King Jr. Drive, to the Finance Department of the City of Decatur, be <br /> eligible to receive a single, transferable "Downtown Employee Parking <br /> Permit " authorizing the vehicle described in the permit application only, <br />
