St. Mary' Hospital PD Amendment
February 10, 2010
at the entrances to the hospital, one (1) on the east located on the south side of the entrance and
one (1) on the west.
The proposed amendment will allow for the petitioner to locate temporary signage on premise
until the expansion project is complete or by June 30, 2012.
Due to the lack of quorum, the January Plan Commission was not held. The petitioner was
permitted to put up the banners with the understanding that if the PD amendment was not
approved the signage would have to be removed. The petitioner currently has some of the
signage in place for the Ground Breaking Ceremony that was held on January 27, 2010. The rest
will be put up at a later date.
The proposed amendment to the PD is consistent with the character of the surrounding
neighborhood and general area as well as with the intent of the original PD and the
Comprehensive Plan.
POTENTIAL OBJECTION: There were no known objectors at the Plan Commission
Meeting.
INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: The amendment to the Planned Development has been
reviewed by the City's Technical Review Committee; Planning, Engineering and Fire have
approved the proposed amendments.
STAFF REFERENCE: Any additional questions may be forwarded to Suzan Stickle at 424-
2786 or at ssticklekdecaturil.90v.
BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: None.
