ORDINANCE NO. 2009-42 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR ON PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY LAKESIDE MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL WHEREAS, Lakeside Music and Arts Festival, a community festival, will be held in Nelson Park and on Public Right-of-Way on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, 2009; and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of Lakeside Music and Arts Festival to offer beer and wine cooler beverages for sale to its patrons for consumption at the Festival; and, WHEREAS, such consumption of alcoholic liquor on public rights-of-way requires the express approval of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the Council finds that it would be in the best interest of Lakeside Music and Arts Festival and of the City of Decatur that such consumption of alcoholic liquor as described be permitted for said limited time period. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That on the days listed herein, and only on such days, between the hours listed opposite each, beer and wine coolers may be consumed at, in or on those portions of public right- of-way described in Section 2 hereof, said days and hours being particularly described as follows: Saturday, July 4, 2009 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. Sunday, July 5, 2009 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
