FAP 716 (IL 48) <br /> Section (127R, RS-2) (130R-2, RS-1) <br /> City Section: 11-00122-00-FP <br /> Macon County <br /> Contract No.: 74500 <br /> Agreement: JN 712 002 <br /> Job Number: C-97-151-10 <br /> AGREEMEN/TI / <br /> This agreement entered into thi d' day ofVv tv 174�011, by and between the <br /> STATE OF ILLINOIS, acting by and through its DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> hereinafter called the STATE, and the CITY OF DECATUR in Macon County of the State of <br /> Illinois, hereinafter called the CITY. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the STATE in order to facilitate the free flow of traffic and insure safety to the <br /> motoring public, is desirous of improving approximately 1.97 miles of FAP 716 (IL 48, Section <br /> (127R, RS-2)(130R-2, RS-1), City Section 11-00122-00-FP) from Marietta Street to South Side <br /> Drive in Decatur including the approaches of Main Street and Sunset Avenue, by pavement <br /> patching, hot-mix asphalt surface removal, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing, detector loops, inlet <br /> adjustment, pavement marking, and any other work necessary to complete the section. No <br /> right-of-way is required. Stage construction will be utilized. The number and width of the <br /> existing traffic lanes will not change providing: <br /> • from Southside Drive to Legion Drive, a 14 foot bi-directional turn lane and two -12 foot <br /> wide through traffic lanes one in each direction; <br /> • from Legion Avenue to Station 923+33.31 just south of California Avenue, two- 12 foot <br /> wide through traffic lanes one in each direction; <br /> • from just South of California Avenue to the Illinois Central Railroad overpass, four 12 <br /> foot wide through traffic lanes two in each direction and; <br /> • from said overpass to the end of the project near Marietta Street, a variable width raised <br /> median and four 12 foot wide through traffic lanes two in each direction; <br /> • And also on each leg of East and a West Main Street and East Sunset Avenue <br /> approaches, two 12 foot wide through traffic lanes one in each directions. <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY is desirous of said improvement in that same will be of immediate benefit <br /> to the CITY residents and permanent in nature; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the <br /> parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> 1. The STATE agrees to make the surveys, obtain all necessary rights of way, prepare <br /> plans and specifications, receive bids and award the contract, furnish engineering <br /> inspection during construction and cause the improvement to be built in accordance with <br /> the plans, specifications and contract. <br /> 2. The STATE agrees to pay for all construction and engineering costs, subject to <br /> reimbursement by the CITY as hereinafter stipulated. <br />
