Inc. Their bid of$2,026,812.30 is 19.49% <br /> under the Engineer's Estimate of$2,517,513.09. The next low bidder is Otto Baum Company, Inc. <br /> whose bid is$2,045,636 76 which is 18.74%under the Engineer's Estimate <br /> Kinney Contractors are located in Raymond,Illinois and have completed several projects for the <br /> City of Decatur In the past. Their previous projects were concrete pavement patching projects and not <br /> curb and gutter,sidewalk or street enhancement. They have completed their previous projects for the <br /> City with no issues and to the satisfaction of the City Engineenng Division. They are Pre qualified with <br /> IDOT to a maximum level of$56,598,000 of construction work,of which the concrete construction limit Is <br /> $11.975,000 Their present level of uncompleted work is$2 753,696.44 of which concrete construction <br /> totals 51.287 518 44 <br /> 1 asked Kinney Contractors to provide a list of projects that they have completed in the last two <br /> years that involved concrete work or similar type of projects They provided me with a list of over 30 <br /> projects in Central Illinois, some with sidewalk and curb and gutter items Their most recent municipal <br /> type projects which included downtown sidewalks and curb and gutter were in the City of Spnngfield and <br /> the City of Staunton, Illinois I talked w►th representatives from the City of Springfield and received <br /> favorable recommendations. The City of Springfield and IDOT both Indicated that they would conbnue <br /> contracting with Kinney Contractors for their work. Additionally I talked with an IDOT Engineer about the <br /> Staunton project and was told that the project is not completed but that their work was satisfactory and <br />
