I discussed the project with the City of Staunton and was told that there are <br /> unresolved contractual issues and that until those issues are resolved to their satisfaction that they could <br /> not make a recommendation on the contractor The Staunton project is approximately$864,000±in size <br /> When I discussed this with Kinney Contractors they are awaiting a final punch list of items before they <br /> can complete the project. I spoke with a second representative for the City of Springfield who has had an <br /> extended history with Kinney Contractors on many previous projects in Springfield who gave them a very <br /> positive recommendation <br /> As Kinney Contractors, Inc have met all of the bid proposal requirements,met all the IDOT Pre <br /> Qualification requirements,(while these are not required by our bid proposal)have had a successful work <br /> relationship with City of Decatur on previous projects.and were recommended by other governmental <br /> agencies which were contacted, 1 recommend that they be awarded the Phase II project for the North <br /> Water Street Enhancement <br />
