The following items describe the efforts involved to perform those <br /> tasks. <br /> Treatment of existing sidewalk ramps <br /> The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is now requiring all MFT projects to <br /> improve sidewalk ramps to meet current ADA policy. This extra work involved additional <br /> topographic data, design, drafting and calculation of quantities. <br /> 42.5 hours and $3,329 <br /> Special Waste Screening <br /> IDOT requires that any project which has linear excavation to perform a Special Waste <br /> Screening. This work consists of searching records on the IEPA website for locations of <br /> potential environmental impacts including underground storage tanks and leaking <br /> underground storage tanks. <br /> 3 hours and $322 <br /> Temporary Concrete Barrier(TCB)Wall Analysis <br /> IDOT is requiring TCB be used for the staged construction of the remove and replace <br /> section of Main Street or close the road and provide a Detour Route. This work involved; <br /> calculating cost options for the TCB, coordination with the City and IDOT, and working up <br /> details for staged construction to use TCB. <br /> 10 hours and $1,126 <br /> Pavement Options— Main Street <br /> This work consists of the preparation of cost estimates for different pavement <br /> configurations (reducing pavement removal and replacement areas, additional milling and <br /> overlay areas, different paving options including crack and seal repair). <br /> 20 hours and $2,252 <br />
