While it will take several months to receive the order, they should be able to fulfill the order. The orders being cancelled with Shore Galleries total $22,458.82. The Police Department changed the quantities on this new order of ammunition in order to stay as close as possible to the dollar amount originally ordered. In general, ammunition is very hard to get in larger quantities. The Federal government has priority for the ammunition to be shipped overseas for the war. In addition, domestically, the general public is buying larger quantities in fear it will not be able to in the future. POTENTIAL OBJECTION: None INPUT FROM OTHER SOURCES: Police Department requested the change and recommends approval of purchase. STAFF REFERENCE: Todd Walker, Police Chief, 424-2745.
